February 25th, 2011: is no longer an actively updated source for Clarkson Hockey madness. It was a ton of fun serving the fans of Clarkson Hockey for the 100 or so years that it lasted. will now serve as an archive, forever documenting the rise of the Bonesaw from 2006 - 2009. The Bonesaw is still going strong for Clarkson Hockey, but unfortunately does not have the active staff necessary to keep it updated regularly. If you think that you can get involved somehow feel free to contact us. May the saw be with you.

Murphy Takes to the Ice Once Again

Jeremy - January 13, 2007 - 10:34 pm

On any given night when a game of hockey is played at Cheel Arena and Murphy is the referee, it is only expected that there be an outrageous amount of penalties, and tonight was no exception.

Everything started out great, despite two penalties called against the Knights in the first 10 minutes. Leggio was untouchable, nothing was getting by. The Green and Gold drew blood first as D'Alvise shot one past Troy Davenport (the bloody tampon in Cornell's goal) with less than 7 minutes remaining in the 1st. No more points would be posted before the first buzzer.

Cornell would go scoreless on yet another two powerplays in the second, including a 5 on 3 opportunity. But when push comes to shove, it turns out 5 is the magic number for Cornell, who finally added one to the scoreboard on their 5th powerplay attempt.

But don't get too excited, this game started to look a lot like last night's with a lot of play killing whistles being blown by the ref's, and the game being sent into overtime. Murphy was two Clarkson penalties away from a Murphgasm, which occurs on the 10th penalty called.

There was much rejoicing tonight as Macho Man Randy Savage himself was displayed on the new scoreboard in his starring role as Bonesaw in the movie Spider Man, but once again, Clarkson fans were only allowed to unleash the bonesaws one time as the Knights tie the Bears, 1-1.

40 More Official Brigade Shirts for Sale

I will be at Cheel tonight before the game against Cornell around 5 PM selling what is left of the Official Bonesaw Brigade t-shirts. This may be your last chance to buy one this year, as we may not be getting anymore this year. The cost is still $10.

One other thing... it seems that some of the towns folk have been complaining. They've been saying that we haven't been loud enough at games. Our only option is to respond to this complaint with the appropriate action... be louder, be crazier, and unleash the fury on Cornell. We have their pep band to compete with tonight, and we're going to need to pull out all the stops. See you tonight.

The Golden Knight's Take to the Ice Once Again

For those who didn't attend tonight's...too bad, because I won't be reviewing it, instead I will discussing why men over the age of 50 should not be hanging out near the Clarkson student section and cheering for the other team. Well, not really, but there will hopefully be some nice pictures of the man I am talking about getting Bonesawed. Now to the game...

It didn't take long for the nice shiny new scoreboard to be flashing GOALLLLL for Clarkson, because only 17 seconds into the game, "Dexshow" Dekanich (Colgate's Goalie and Team ?Anal-Wagon') was kind enough to try clearing a puck from behind his Colgate's net in which he shot it into Zalewski's shoulder, then deflecting into the empty net.

From there on out, there were several close shots on both ends of the ice, and a lot of very nice Leggio saves. For the first time in Clarkson Hockey history, I will be bold in saying there weren't any real crappy penalties called, but don't worry, keep reading and you'll hear what those penalties were replaced with. No goals were scored for either team through the rest of the first, the entire second, and over halfway through the third period.

Then around 15 minutes into the third Colgate came up with a score. This is where the ref decided to start making awful calls. With the clock ticking down through the final seconds, the ref decided to blow a Clarkson play dead, even though the puck was sitting in front of Dekanich on open ice, not trapped away in his little snatch pocket, nestled right next to his team's ram-hole. So into over time we go.

Twice in overtime play the same thing. The ref blows the play dead, when the puck is sitting on open ice, just about to be smacked at the net by Clarkson. But despite every attempt in the last 30 seconds, where the Knights probably took at least 5 shots on net, nothing was able to slip by.

After a long winter break missing the Green and Gold show downs, the Bonesaws only came out once as Clarkson ties Colgate, 1-1.

Oh winter break... you shouldnt have ended so quickly. I was enjoying the days with fast internet, good food, and sleeping in, but one thing was missing. I don't even have to say what that thing is, because I'm sure you already know. (It's Hockey)

We have a big update planned for this weekend. Well, not that big, but its something we've been holding off for awhile, but now its finally ready.

Until then, get ready for tonight's show down in Cheel Arena. Bring your bonesaws, your vulgar comments, and your thirst for blood. We'll be back tonight with the usual pictures and such, so stay tuned.

Jeremy may have some extra bonesaw shirts as well, so if you still dont have one then tonight may be your last chance to grab one.
