February 25th, 2011: is no longer an actively updated source for Clarkson Hockey madness. It was a ton of fun serving the fans of Clarkson Hockey for the 100 or so years that it lasted. will now serve as an archive, forever documenting the rise of the Bonesaw from 2006 - 2009. The Bonesaw is still going strong for Clarkson Hockey, but unfortunately does not have the active staff necessary to keep it updated regularly. If you think that you can get involved somehow feel free to contact us. May the saw be with you.

The 2nd Annual BONESAW Awards

Matt $ - May 10, 2008 - 1:41 am

Well sorry guys I have been pressured to post this for quite some time and have been trying to get it flawless, just the way Randy Mach’ himself would expect it.  I’ve had a lot of work (who would have thought that coming from a History major!) but I’m proud to present the Second Annual Bonesaw awards for the 2007-2008 hockey season. Wow what a great season this was!   Winning the regular season ECAC title outright was quite an accomplishment, but then topping it off with...

Bonesaw Technology

Jeremy - October 24, 2007 - 4:52 pm

For those of you who do not necessarily participate in as many home hockey games as you may like, then you may not realize the shear range of Bonesaw designs and originality that has truly swept the fans. When one looks back, the original Bonesaw brought to Cheel Arena was nothing more than a few forearms and elbows. These ingenious symbols struck fear in the very first opponent it was used against, Providence, on Friday, October 14, 2005 as Clarkson prevailed 5-2. But, with an engineering school student...

The Cheers and Jeers of Cheel Arena

Jeremy - October 11, 2007 - 12:19 am

What is being shouted when the visiting starters are announced? First things first, you better have your back turned to the ice before the opposing lineup is announced. As for what gets said, it is a grab bag of lines that someone in the pep band picks from and shouts to everyone. Following the chosen line is always “You’re a Big Puss!!!” Some of the lines are reserved for specific schools. A general idea of these phrases are listed below: “Get off the ice” “Go...

Bonesaw Banner Collection

Kyle - October 9, 2007 - 5:08 pm

With the launch of the brand new Bonesaw website comes a whole new look and feel, including a whole new banner.  Since this new site is wider than the old and clunky, we won't be able to use all those great rotating banners that we gathered up over the season.  Rather than just throw those old banners out, I thought it would be a better idea to leave them up in some shape or form for everyone to enjoy.  We ended up having 9 different banners by the end of last season, all the way...

Matt $'s Season Preview

Matt $ - October 4, 2007 - 11:50 pm

It's almost that time of the year again. Time to shine them saws and paint your faces for its almost hockey season. We come into the 2007-2008 season full of optimism off an ECAC Championship and a #1 seed in the Big Dance. Although we lost some key members from last years squad, we still return 6 of our 7 top forwards, some staples in the defense and our all world goalie. Our Captains representing us on the ice will be 3 seniors: Nick Dodge our Hobey Baker candidate, Grant Clitsome a punishing...

The Sacred Bonesaw Helmet

Kyle - October 4, 2007 - 1:13 am

You've heard about it, you may have even seen it from the stands, but now you can get some up close shots of the sacred Bonesaw helmet that was bestowed onto our very own Clarkson Golden Knight Tim Potter.  The helmet itself is decorated with all aspects of the student section, from the Bonesaw Brigade to the Clarkson Hockey Hooligans. With a giant saw over your chin, who's going to mess with you? The student section decorates this side of the helmet, with the classic Omega Bonesaw featured near...

The First Annual Bonesaw Awards

Matt $ - April 7, 2007 - 12:57 am

As the 2006-2007 Hockey Season has come to an end, it is time to reflect back on the season and mention some incredible feats. It was quite the exciting year for all of us Brigadiers as we watched our Knights take home the ECAC Tourney Championship and earn a #1 seed in the NCAA Tourney. To recognize some of the stellar achievements of the year we have decided to hand out some awards to those that helped make this year so memorable. So a special thanks to all the players, coaches, staff, and fellow Brigade...
