February 25th, 2011: is no longer an actively updated source for Clarkson Hockey madness. It was a ton of fun serving the fans of Clarkson Hockey for the 100 or so years that it lasted. will now serve as an archive, forever documenting the rise of the Bonesaw from 2006 - 2009. The Bonesaw is still going strong for Clarkson Hockey, but unfortunately does not have the active staff necessary to keep it updated regularly. If you think that you can get involved somehow feel free to contact us. May the saw be with you.

Matt $'s Season Preview

Matt $ - October 4, 2007 - 11:50 pm

Bonesaw is Ready!

It's almost that time of the year again. Time to shine them saws and paint your faces for its almost hockey season. We come into the 2007-2008 season full of optimism off an ECAC Championship and a #1 seed in the Big Dance. Although we lost some key members from last years squad, we still return 6 of our 7 top forwards, some staples in the defense and our all world goalie. Our Captains representing us on the ice will be 3 seniors: Nick Dodge our Hobey Baker candidate, Grant Clitsome a punishing defensemen and forward Steve Zalewski.

Expectations for this team are about as high as they've ever been. Some "experts" predict us making the frozen four. Normally these expectations would seem lofty however with the power of the Bonesaw on our side, it seems accurate. The season starts Saturday with an exhibition, then on Sunday we visit Crappleton where we play against our bitter rivals and hated enemies, SLU(t). Although this season will be long and challenging; common sense seems to indicate that we should have a good season. Who am I kidding? We have the Bonesaw! With another year to refine themselves under the tutilage of Randy Mach I predict greatness.

Little is known about the offseason preparation, but rumors have surfaced and I'm going to assume and tell. The team went to the deepest forrests of the Northwest Territories of Canada to refine their Bonesawing by decimating over a million acres of trees. Leggio then defended a town called "Net" by some (atleast thats what I'm calling it). The Saxons and Monguls invaded, but they were defeated by Leggio, who used only his glove and Bonesaw to save the villagers. All of this should translate onto the ice where (here come the predictions) I see us averaging 10 goals a game while allowing, hmm... 0.10, yeah that sounds right. Going undefeated and perhaps destroying a couple other universities in the process.

But all in all, its going to be a crazy and exciting season, and I hope to see you all at Cheel, and every other arena where we embark on what should become a special season. I look forward to all the mayhem and Bonesawing that will ensue. Let's get out and make some noise, support our team, and sacrafice a froshman or two (more likely 11), BONESAW!!!
