SUPER SPECIAL MESSAGE
February 25th, 2011:

Bonesaw.org is no longer an actively updated source for Clarkson Hockey madness. It was a ton of fun serving the fans of Clarkson Hockey for the 100 or so years that it lasted. Bonesaw.org will now serve as an archive, forever documenting the rise of the Bonesaw from 2006 - 2009. The Bonesaw is still going strong for Clarkson Hockey, but unfortunately Bonesaw.org does not have the active staff necessary to keep it updated regularly. If you think that you can get involved somehow feel free to contact us. May the saw be with you.

Not a Good Knight

Adam - March 4, 2009 - 12:29 am

Unfortunately, the puck did not bounce any Clarkson ways this past weekend. Saturday’s games against Union (men) and the Sluzers (women) both ended in losses. These losses now result in the end of a season and the loss of home ice advantage.

First of, I’d like to congratulate the Women’s team on a fantastic season. Although the team was swept by St. Lawrence in the Quarterfinals of the ECAC, the two games were extremely close. The final game came down to the buzzer as the Lady Knights just could not tie the game up. The final score was 2-1. Again, congratulations to the entire team, especially seniors MJ Gaudet, Kimberly McKenney, and Courtney O’Connor, on producing yet another winning season at 16-14-6.

The men, however, saw home-ice slip out of their hands. Facing off against Union, the Knights need a combination of a Clarkson win/tie or a Quinnipiac loss. Trailing 1-0 in the third period, Matt Beca tied up the game on a nice deflection in front of the net. Paul Karpowich came up huge right after stopping his first career penalty shot attempt. However, Union kept pressing and eventually slipped the game-winning goal past Karpy. With a 2-1 loss and a Quinnipiac victory over Dartmouth, the Knights fell into a tie for 8thplace. By having one less league win than Union, the Knights were bumped to the ninth position. Because of this, they will start on the road against the same team that took the home-ice away from them – Union.

The series will be a best of 3 with games being played on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (if needed), all 7pm start times.
